SUMMER SCHOOL 2011 (6th – 13th August)You should have received your copy of the brochure by now (if you haven’t, please let us know!). We hope you will agree that it is, as ever, bright, attractive and informative. Have you noticed that the Composition Course has made a welcome return? Chris Swaffer is really enthusiastic about running this course for us, and we hope that you will be enthusiastic about enrolling for it! Other new courses are Aidan’s Musicianship courses, covering a broad range of theory and practical skills in a holistic way. Applications are already coming in, so don’t delay in getting yours to us.
SPRING MUSIC WEEKEND (13th – 15th May 2011)Please note that places are still available for the Spring Music Weekend, to be held at Alston Hall near Preston. It is a delightful site, with well-appointed and comfortable rooms, many of which have en-suite facilities. There is a well-stocked bar, and the food is delicious and plentiful. The house is set in lovely grounds, on the edge of the Ribble Valley, with Woodland Walks and formal gardens. Those of us who went last year had a great time, so if you don’t want to have to wait until August for your group music-making, why not come to the Spring Music Weekend as well?
