Spring Music Weekend

We are able to confirm that the weekend will be held at Alston Hall near Preston in Lancashire and the dates will be 30 April to 2 May 2010.

Tutors/facilitators will be available for jazz and brass/wind courses; however, people with other musical interests are very welcome to attend and either join the groups shown above or organise their own sessions. If singers wish to do some choral singing, we should be able to provide a variety of music to facilitate this and, if enough singers apply, we shall try and provide an accompanist. Strings players may have to supply their own music.

A variety of accommodation is available at Alston Hall, at a range of costs (shown below). You will be pleased to know that the accommodation is of a good standard, with quite a few of the rooms being en-suite. The classrooms are also light and airy, and the views across the Ribble Valley are stunning. There are also extensive grounds, with woods and parkland, for those who enjoy walking, and an on-site bar for those who enjoy drinking! Check out their website at www.alstonhall.com

The prices cover all meals from the evening meal on Friday to afternoon tea on the Sunday …………and the food is of an excellent standard.
